Host creates the connection's Virtual Display, captures the desktop and system audio, applies remote input, and maintains relay and P2P connectivity.

The native Client finds your remote Macs, presents the desktop, sends keyboard and pointer input, draws the local cursor, and plays remote audio.

First connection

From installation to the remote desktop.

  1. Install and sign inOpen Host on the remote Mac and Screen Ferry on the local Mac. Sign in to the same account on both.
  2. Allow access on the HostGrant Screen Recording for desktop and system-audio capture, and Accessibility for authenticated remote input.
  3. Select the Mac and connectThe encrypted relay session establishes automatically. Turn on P2P mode at the Host to qualify a direct route too.

Outbound from both Macs

No network configuration.

Screen Ferry opens no listening port. There is no port forwarding, inbound firewall rule, or VPN to configure.

The relay provides immediate reachability. P2P mode can qualify a direct route while keeping the relay ready as fallback.
